Petrol Chainsaw

When you look at the retail market for the chainsaw you will see that there are literally hundreds of models of the chainsaw out there. These chainsaws are made by numerous companies and they are sold in retail units throughout the world. However when one talks about the chainsaw there are always 2 brand names that are mentioned. They are Stihl and Husqvarna. These 2 companies have been involved in the production of chainsaws for many years now and do have vast experience and knowledge of the chainsaw. The majority say that Stihl and Husqvarna chainsaws are streets ahead of any of their rivals. And despite there being numerous competitors who produce excellent chainsaws, it is hard to dispute this fact. Comparing the 2 against each other to find out who is the best, is too tough to do in our opinion. Their chainsaws have similar high quality features and similar longevity time spans. The only negative thing that can be said about these 2 brands is that their chainsaws do come with a price tag.

The task of determining the best chainsaw is virtually impossible in our opinion. There are many uses for a chainsaw as there are different models of chainsaw and setting standards and tests will not be fair. Some will perform better in certain tests whilst others will perform better in other tests. So where do you set the bench mark? However if you want a chainsaw to work with every day then you so have to consider one from Stihl or Husqvarna. If you want a chainsaw that you will occasionally then then there are plenty of other models and brands you can safely choose from.

Such brands as McCulloch, Spear and Jackson, Poulan and Echo are certainly brands well worth a look at. We shall give a few examples of miscellaneous chainsaws below on this page just to show that there is life after Stihl and Husqvarna. We shall also update this page whenever we find any other suitable miscellaneous chainsaws to add. So feel free to check back whenever you like. We would like to point out though in a survey of about 3000 chainsaw user’s, 41% said Husqvarna were the best and 40% said that Stihl were the best. But for an occasional user these chainsaw brands are not viably economical in our opinion. We are sure that the average gardener can get themselves a “better” chainsaw in a lower price bracket.

Considerations with a chainsaw include maintenance levels and cost and the expected life span of a chainsaw. If you are an occasional user then the maintenance costs will be lower than someone who uses a chainsaw every day. Also a chainsaw will last longer if it is rarely used when compared to a chainsaw that is used everyday. I hope you see the point I’m getting at here. Stihl and Husqvarna may be the best, but not for an occasional user.
